Hi, I’m Mohammadreza Gilak.
I am a control engineering student at Sharif University of Technology. My interests include:
- Control Systems Theory
- Estimation Theory
- Mathematics
- Robotics
I spend most of my time around control, estimation, robotics, and the math that connects them.
This site is where I keep a quieter record of what I’m working on: notes, projects, and the occasional post when I have something worth sharing.
A few things I keep coming back to are:
- Nonlinear and optimal control
- Model predictive control
- Legged robotics
- Chess and learning languages
A couple of recent papers I have been part of are An Energy Conservation Approach to Variable Stiffness Single Leg Jumping and Model-Free Inverse Optimal Control Based on Dynamic Linearization.
If you’d like to reach me, you can find me on GitHub, LinkedIn, or Google Scholar.
Experience
Teaching and lab work - Sharif University of Technology
2024 - Present
- I’ve helped with several control courses and labs, including Linear Control, Industrial Control, Optimal Control, and Simulation in Control Lab.
- Most of my time there has been spent supporting students, preparing material, and learning from the process.
Robotics work - Fasta Robotics
2025 - Present
- I’ve been involved in work on a quadruped robot platform, mostly around control, estimation, and contact detection.
